Meatloaf

You're a meat loaf yelled Coach.

He hung his head

at the hurtful name.

Of course the boys

took up the taunt

for years his shame.

He had a dream of singing

and finally sang the song

that brought him fame.

Thinking back

he took that taunt

Meatloaf he became.
