5 haiku

human spirits fight

for their life's very last breath

then escape from it

dandelions grow

in spite of weed control  

to make the girls smile

heavy tomatoes      

cling to twinging vines bowing

the red queens curtsey

a gray cat peeking

from behind the dog's new house

knows to be silent

thunder beats in hoofs

racing roan and sorrel flee

hidden cougar leaps
