Tune to Love

See beyond,

visual barriers

to the color  

of my soul

let not melanin

dictate to us

our barriers,

or scaffolds

we can rise

on shoulders,

rest on hearts,

tuned to love

hear and speak

words that mend,

join, and connect

one to another

before we collide,

rebound and

fall lost in

rapids of color.
